Australia’s Productivity Commission recently rules that no safeguard clauses should be applies to imports of canned fruit and tomatoes from Italy. The report was delivered to the Minister for Trade and Investment, Andrew Robb. Italian exports of the goods concerned to Australia amounted to about 50 million euros in 2012, and accounted for 86% of all of the country’s tomato imports.

Trade Fairs: ICE-AEFI agreement to promote Italian fairs abroad
The Director General of the ICE Trade Agency, Roberto Luongo, and the President of the Italian Exhibition and Trade Fair Association (AEFI), Ettore Riello, have signed an agreement giving ICE the task of representing Italian fairs abroad. ICE’s role willinclude promotion and awareness-raising initiatives to attract potential exhibitors.
