Lebanon: Bonino announces meeting in Rome on Lebanese armed forces

“Italy is interested in convening a meeting centred on reinforcement of the Lebanese armed forces, at a date the Lebanese authorities consider convenient and whose participants they consider useful”, said Minister Emma Bonino at the end of a meeting in Lebanon with her counterpart Adnan Mansour, adding that respective Foreign and Defence would be discussing it. Bonino also recalled the new meeting in Paris on 5 March of the international support group for Lebanon “at political level, while the meeting in Rome will be at a much more technical level”.
