“I am sure that the international and European solidarity that we have built up over recent months will succeed in eliciting initiatives and statements on behalf of this case, not only at the level of our bilateral colleagues, but also at the level of the European Union as such”, was Minister Emma Bonino’s comment from Brussels.
The minister also reiterated that “the confirmation of a charge based on the anti-piracy and anti-terrorism act is totally unacceptable. We have said this is every possible way, and we will be discussing it in the Council”.
