The Furio di Castri Quartet played at the opening concert the European Jazz Festival in Izmir to an enthusiastic audience of more than a thousand people, and later on in a jam session for a crowd of 400, while Italian jazz history professor at Istanbul’s Bilgi University and the festival’s musical consultant, Francesco Martinelli, held a conference.
