Italian-Afghan relations have been further strengthened by an economic cooperation project involving public- and private-sector actors from both countries. The project involves the marble and quarrying sectors and envisages the creation of a technological and training centre in Herat.
The Italian Ministry for Economic Development entrusted the ICE-Italian Trade Agency with the task of implementing the project as part of the follow-up to a memorandum of understanding signed in Rome in April 2011. Read more, in Italian
