Within the context of “excellent bilateral relations” and the solid “economic partnership” underscored by Minister Federica Mogherini in a message, “let’s make the best of what we have available, in such a way that the great leap forward in all sectors of the Angolan economy can also be said to stem from Italian expertise”, asserted Deputy Minister Lapo Pistelli in today’s meeting at the foreign ministry in Rome of Angolan institutional representatives (ministers and under-secretaries) and representatives of the enterprises and organisations that financially underpin the internationalisation of Italian businesses.
Participation in EXPO
Pistelli pointed out that Angola would be participating in the 2015 EXPO “with the largest of the many African pavilions”, and announced his participation in the first ministerial meeting of the partnership planned for July, “hopefully in Luanda”, during Italy’s duty Presidency of the EU.
Two missions
Two initiatives are planned for the year in Angola: a mission within the summer by interested professional associations; and a second, broader-based mission involving businesses in the energy, construction, transport and agri-industrial sectors.
