Fiera Milano has reached an agreement with Interwine China to run the Food Hospitality World (Fiera Milano) and Interwine China events concurrently in two adjacent pavilions. The events will run in Canton from 11 to 13 November 2014
Interwine is southern China’s most important wine fair and one of China’s most important events overall for imported wines. The fair, first held in Canton in 2005, takes place every 6 months, in April and November. Recent editions have seen a constant growth in the number of international exhibitors (about 500 in the spring 2014 edition, 125 of them Italian) and visitors (on average, over 30,000).
Fiera Milano recently invested 7.5 million euros to acquire a 75% interest in Worldex, a Chinese company operating mainly in the sector of food and drink and hospitality fairs.
Fiera Milano and Worldex intend the Food Hospitality World fair, which sees its 3rd edition this year, to act as a major platform for interaction by Chinese and international operators in the high-quality food and drink sector. The 2013 edition extended over 10,000 square metres, with over 300 stands and 78 foreign exhibitors, 35 of them Italian. Source: infoMercatiEsteri.
