“Italy of the Future” exhibit in Stockholm

“Italy of the Future” is the title of an exhibition on the excellent results of major Italian research institutes, and will open on 27 June in Stockholm within the context of the events planned for Sweden for the Italian Presidency of the EU Council. The exhibition has been organised by the National Museum of Science and Technology in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy in Sweden. The foreign ministry joins some of Italy’s principal scientific research institutions (CNR, LIT, INFN and the S. Anna School for Advanced Studies in Pisa, in promoting the event.

From robotics to particle physics, health to transport technologies

Visitors will have an opportunity to discover the results of our country’s scientific research in fields ranging from robotics to particle physics, and from health to transport technologies and the conservation of archaeological and cultural treasures, and to experience some of them first-hand. The interactive exhibition will offer a chance, for example, to relive the first instants of the Universe, before the existence of mass; to experience a self-cleaning fabric created through a ceramization process; and a virtual reality installation will make it possible to explore the Etruscan civilisation.

The exhibition runs through 24 August.
