The Chinese city of Chongqing recently hosted a roadshow event on investment opportunities in Italy. The total amount of the investments proposed by Italy was over 500 million euro, in sectors such as real estate, cosmetics, ship-building, fashion, food security and mechanics. Chinese investors showed particular interest in real estate (luxury homes, residential complexes, vineyards, hotels and farm-holiday operations), and advanced technology firms in the areas of mechanics, farming, healthcare and biomedicine, automotive and environmental upgrade.
