Italy-Sudan – Healthcare collaboration guidelines

Italian ambassador to Khartoum Armando Barucco joined Sudanese Minister for Health Bahar Idriss Abu Garda in signing the Country Health Compact on collaboration between that ministry and international partners on healthcare sector development. The document’s main points include compliance with the healthcare guidelines – most specifically those of the National Strategic Plan –, Sudanese actors’ responsibility for the improvement of healthcare services, harmonisation with cooperation workers and continued consultation and transparency in relations between Italy and the Sudanese government.
