Hanoi – Italy-Vietnam Fashion Council set up

Hanoi has announced the creation of a new Italy-Vietnam Fashion Council, whose role is to support the sustainable development of the clothing industry. Members of the Council include successful designers from both countries, represented by Stefano Dominella, Chair of the Gattinoni fashion house, and the Vietnamese Minh Hanh.

As the Italian Ambassador in Hanoi, Lorenzo Angeloni, observed, the creation of the Council is a major advance in cooperation between the Italian and Vietnamese fashion industries and an opportunity to exchange views and ideas for greater innovation.

On 17 September 2014, four Vietnamese designers, Minh Hanh, Lan Huong, Cong Khanh and Quang Nhat, will be showing their latest collections in Italy. The initiative, part of the Vietnamese Culture in Italy Week, is being organised by the Vietnamese Embassy in Rome, Rome City Council, the Museum of Rome, Gattinoni, and the Italian Embassy in Vietnam.
