Finlandia: System Italy in the forefront at start-up event
Helsinki was host to the 7th edition of “Slush”, an international networking forum for start-ups and investors. The approximately 13,000 registered participants included 40 Italian entities, for the most part start-ups both from Italy as well as resident in Finland within the context of the incubators or accelerators in which the Finnish government is investing abundant resources, and representing various sectors ranging from medicine to finance, IT security and sport/fitness.
Trento RISE made an especially significant showing, including members of the Italia Start-Up Association and Italian reference point of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) and ICT Labs, whose stand acted as a collector for several start-ups. Italy was also represented by investors from the United Ventures venture capital group.
