Seven industrial groups and consortia have been short-listed for the construction of a new deep-water port near Anaklia Georgia on the Black Sea. The total twelve bids submitted came from, among others, MSC, Bouygues, China Harbour Engineering and Mitsu. Those short-listed were asked to submit new detailed proposals to the government by 16 April. The list will subsequently be reduced to two or three, from which the winner will be chosen. The government plans to have the contract signed by the end of September of this year so that work can begin by June 2016.
