Iran: Restored Pomodoro sculpture returned

Arnaldo Pomodoro’s sculpture “The Sphere” once again shines in the garden of the Teheran Museum of Contemporary Art, where it has been since the institution’s foundation. The restored piece was returned to its owners during the museum’s “Dusting the Earth” ceremony. Italian ambassador Mauro Conciatori delivered a greeting to the conference for the presentation of the project, which paves the way for future developments and collaboration with the Museum of Contemporary Art and its extraordinary collection. Museum Director Majid Mullanouruzi underscored the excellent relations between Italy and Iran in the field of art, and his hopes to soon be able to host exhibitions by Italian artists.
