The Italian Ministry of the Economy and Finance has won the EU-funded tender to set up a twinning project in Turkey, entitled “Capacity Building Concerning Presentation and Usage of the General Government Financial Statistics”. The project will be implemented in collaboration with ISTAT, FORMEZ and CSI-Piedmont. Its aim is to support the Directorate General of the Turkish Finance Ministry in initiatives to increase the transparency and usability of the data produced, improve risk assessment capacity in financial management activities, and, more generally, to verify the financial data provided by the government.
