“Pellegrino Artusi: L’unita’ italiana in cucina” is the title of an exhibition running at the Italian Cultural Institute of Mexico City through 20 February. The event is part of the calendar of the Year of Italy in Latin America, and is a celebration of the contribution that writer, “foody” and literary critic and his recipe collection have made to building a national identity. Laila Tentoni will hold a seminar later on this “father of Italian cuisine”, accompanied by the presentation of Casa Artusi. In keeping with this year’s EXPO theme, the focus will be on nutrition, and a laboratory on some well known Artusian dishes will follow. Read more, in Italian.
