The Embassy of Italy in Panama and the Italian Cultural Institute celebrated the 154th anniversary of the Italian unification with a concert held in the parliament building. The event, which was a great success, was a first for an Italo-Panamanian orchestra that was set up within the framework of a bilateral cultural accord consisting of the students of Rome’s Santa Cecilia Conservatory and young Panamanians conducted by Italian maestro Elio Orciulo and Panamanian maestro Dino Nugent.
