El Salvador – Italian initiative to protect the cultural heritage and prevent youth crime

“Rafforzamento della Secretaria de Cultura de la Presidencia de El Salvador mediante la valorizzazione del patrimonio culturale” is the name of a project recently opened in El Salvador by Italian Ambassador Tosca Barucco. Funded by the
Directorate General for Development Cooperation, the project is being implemented by the Universita’ degli Studi Roma Tre. Its aim is to promote social and economic development and combat youth crime by training young people in the
skills needed for the restoration of historic architecture and in local crafts at risk of dying out. The project is part of the “Year of Italy in Latin America” programme”. Read more, in Italian
