The Netherlands: global players selected for ABN AMRO privatisation

ABN AMRO, Deutsche Bank and Morgan Stanley will be the global players in the privatisation process of the same ABN AMRO. The announcement was made by Netherlands Financial Investments (NLFI), the public holding controlled by the Finance Ministry and owner of the entire share capital of the ABN AMRO and SNS REAAL banks. The Ministry explained that the process will continue with the selection of the banks that will act as bookrunner and co-lead manager. The bank will be placed on the Amsterdam Euronext stock market through an IPO, which could take place in the fourth quarter of the year. The shares placed on the market will represent from 10% to 30% of the group’s total equity. More economic news, in Italian, from Belgium.
