Marco Delogu officially takes up his post tomorrow as new Director of the Italian Cultural Institute of London. The first photographer ever to direct an Italian Cultural Institute, Delogu has on many occasions stated his wish to introduce new formulas for the promotion of “classic and contemporary Italian culture”. “London will play a fundamental role in the new undertaking, with more than 130 different nationalities that the Institute intends to positively contaminate with the Italian culture”, Delogu asserted, who plans work with writers, artists, scholars, directors, musicians and others from cultural spheres so as to amplify those lesser heard voices of contemporary Italy.
