The Cooprogetti group was awarded the contract by Empresa Nacional de Electricidad Bolivia (ENDE) for the design of a biomass energy production plant for the the Dipartimento Beni. The 420,000 USD contract is the third assigned to the Italian firm operating in Bolivia, after a 1.62 million USD contract in July through the Administradora Boliviana de Carretera (ABC) for the technical and environmental supervision of the building of the roadway network between the cities of Cochabamba and Santa Cruz de la Sierra, and a 3.5 million USD contract in August for direction of the construction of a potassium chloride factory through the Corporacion Minera de Bolivia.
