Morocco is aiming at developing its aeronautic sector thanks, above all, to an innovative partnership directly involving the government and professional associations. The sector should see growth of 18% over the next five years, to arrive at revenues of 16 billion dirhams (approximately 1.5 billion euro) in 2020. The government has identified 4 priority ecosystems for development: assembly (aerostructures, mechanics, construction), EWIS (electrical system, electronic cabling, etc.), MRO (maintenance, repairs, etc.) and engineering (concept, development, design, etc.). Morocco has the benefit of its geographic proximity to Europe, thanks to which it is able to attract industries associated with aeronautics (space, defence, security, electronics, medicine, consulting and maintenance) which increases the value of its production.
