From Libya to Syria, from the Middle East peace process to the fight against terrorism, and from migration flows to people trafficking. The region’s various crises will be the main topics on the agenda of the 12th ministerial meeting of the Western Mediterranean Dialogue taking place today in Tangiers, Morocco.
Participants in the 5+5 Dialogue include Italy – represented by Minister for Foreign Affairs Paolo Gentiloni – France, Spain, Malta and Portugal for the northern shores, and Libya, Tunisia Algeria, Morocco and Mauritania for the southern shores.
In plenary session, the ministers of the 10 countries will also be discussing the region’s economic growth and the challenges facing Mediterranean youth.
