Contaminated by English, threatened by WhatsApp icons and ill-treated by text-speak, the Italian language seems increasingly under threat. But it’s time to celebrate our language worldwide. For the 15th Italian Language in the World Week, which runs from 19 to 24 October 2015, the theme is “The Italian of Music, the Music of Italian”.
Lisbon is offering a taster of the “Week” with a “reading with music” from “La strage dei congiuntivi” at the Italian Cultural Institute on 15 October. The event will feature Massimo Roscia, author of the book, and Davide Zilli on piano. Read more, in Italian.
