Poland: Astaldi awarded contract for Warsaw metro

In consortium with the Turkish firm Gulemark, the Italian firm Astaldi was awarded the contract for the construction of two new sections of the second line of Warsaw’s metro line with a winning bid valued at approximately 540 million euro. The project includes the construction of three stations to the west and three to the northeast, and is slated for completion in 38 months, with 85% of its funding coming from the European Union’s infrastructure and environment programme.
