Brazil: Government launches IT platform for infrastructure tenders

The Brazilian government has launched an IT platform for disseminating information on calls for tenders for public works. The “GlobalVip Infrastructure Platform” (www.globalvipprojects.com), created by the Ministry of the Economy in collaboration with the Inter-American Development Bank, publicizes the infrastructure projects of over one hundred countries, allowing sector operators free and real-time access to the legal and economic information necessary to participate in the bidding processes. In an initial phase, the ministry will be involved in publicizing federal level infrastructure (motorways, airports, ports and railways) and energy projects.
