The Salone del Mobile will make its Chinese debut in Shanghai from 19 to 21 November 2016, at the Shanghai Exhibition Center. The fair is organised by Federlegno Arredo Eventi.
The event was organised with full collaboration from the government, most notably Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni, the Deputy Minister for Economic Development, Carlo Calenda, ICE-Italian Trade Agency, the Italian institutions in China and the mission to China in June 2014, led by Prime Minister Matteo Renzi.
According to estimates by the Salone del Mobile, sales in China are expected to grow by around 40% by the end of 2019. The 2016 Salone in Shanghai will include masterclasses on architecture and design, and areas dedicated to the Italian lifestyle.
