An exhibition on “Italian Artists of the ’70s and ’80s” will be staged by the Italian Institute of Culture in Athens at the third “Print Fest” on graphic arts and printing. The exhibition will run from Mar. 2 to Mar. 22, is drawn from the archive of the “Athens Engraving Art Centre – Pandolfini & Siaterli” and includes works by more than 40 artists. Bruno Bandini, art critic and lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, said: “Pino Pandolfini and Dimitra Siaterli have not only honoured the ‘gift’ that they possessed – the ability to voice the language of graphic art – but, since the late 1970s, they also made it available to other artists who wanted to grapple with the impervious grammar of graphic art. To work for yourself and together with others, pursuing your passion while helping others to learn the techniques underlying that passion.”
