Italy-China – Cooperation grows in health sector

The Italian Embassy in Beijing will sponsor a quarterly training programme at the University of Sassari for 40 Chinese doctors. The doctors will attend lessons, be present at operations, undergo training in public health care management and be updated on medical testing techniques and methods. The training programme is part of a larger project conducted by The Emergency Medical Committee (TEMC), a Chinese non-governmental organisation, and falls under the initiatives for the Year of Italian Health Care in China, opened recently in Beijing during the visit of Health Minister Beatrice Lorenzin.

Great opportunities for Italy and China in the food security and nutrition sectors

The “Year” is promoted by the Italian Embassy in China and is sponsored by Italian health care companies. “Cooperation in the health sector, which opens big opportunities both to Italy and China especially in the areas of food safety and nutrition, was powerfully and successfully relaunched during the visit to Beijing of Health Minister Beatrice Lorenzin, from Jan. 27 to 30 January,” said Italian Ambassador to Beijing, Ettore Sequi.
