Argentina – ‘Arte in Scena’ exhibition opens in Buenos Aires

“Arte in Scena” (Art on Stage), a modern art exhibition, will be open in Buenos Aires from March 19 to June 5 as part of the Year of Italy in Latin America. The exhibition, curated by Anna Mattirolo, was organised by Rome’s National Museum of 21st Century Arts (MAXXI) and the Proa Foundation in the Argentine capital, in cooperation with the Italian embassy and the Italian Institute of Culture in Buenos Aires, Tenaris and Techint, a group of companies committed to local development. The exhibition aims to open a debate on contemporary art and museum spaces, conceived as a living space for the works by displaying the daring works by well-established 21st century artists such as Aldo Rossi, Francesco Vezzoli, Gilbert and George, Ilya and Emilia Kabakov, Maurizio Cattelan, Gino De Dominicis, Grazia Toderi, Mario Airo, Danilo Guerri, Carlo Scarpa, Gianluca and Massimiliano De Serio, Carlo Aymonino, Hans Op De Beeck and others. The Year of Italy in Latin America is an initiative promoted by the Foreign Ministry with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Ministry of Economic Development, the Italian Trade Agency (ICE), and the Conference of Italian University Rectors (CRUI), and with the contribution of many companies.
