An Italian architect has been chosen to design part of the interior of the new Union Square project in Ho Chi Minh City. The decision was made by Windsor Property Management Group Corporation (WMC), a Vietnamese developer based in HCM, which already has a portfolio of luxury residential and commercial buildings. The project consists of refurbishing/converting the prestigious Union Square building, currently a luxury shopping centre in the city centre, located between the two main shopping streets and a short walk from the headquarters of the People’s Committee. The building is in a highly visible area connected to the underground currently being constructed. The design of the luxury hotel has already been entrusted to an Italian firm, but a design contract still remains to be awarded that relates to the three basement floors in which a shopping centre will be built. The deadline for expressions of interest is set for 25th March at the email address clarence.cheung@timessquare.vn
