Art, creativity and roots. The Consulate General of Buenos Aires in collaboration with Pirelli Neumaticos S.A.I.C. has launched the 5th “Lucio Fontana” Award. Only emerging Italian artists living in Argentina are eligible to enter. Winners will stay in Italy during October and November to develop their creative skills by contact with the Italian cultural and artistic scene, with particular focus on contemporary art. They will be helped by two tutors from Turin’s Istituto Garuzzo per le arti Visive – IGAV. At the end of their visit, the artists will be able to stage a show of their work at a gallery in Buenos Aires. Contestants must be either Italian nationals or of proven Italian descent, live in Argentina and be born after 31 December, 1976. They need to be active in the visual arts, have held at least one show and be proficient in Italian.
