Italy – Africa: Country Presentation

The spotlight is on Africa in the events organised by the Directorate General for Cultural and Economic Promotion and Innovation in partnership with Confindustria Assafrica & Mediterraneo.

The first event was held yesterday morning with a presentation of the business opportunities in Guinea Conakry and, in the afternoon, attention was focused on Rwanda and its high-level delegation led by Foreign Ministry Louise Mushikiwabo, who were shown the investment projects of Italian companies in their Country.

The country presentation of Guinea Conakry, which was opened by the Deputy Secretary-General of the Foreign Ministry, Antonio Bernardini, and by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and of Guineans, Hadja Makalé Camara, focused on the sectors of the agro-food industry, energy and infrastructure. After the presentations, the numerous companies attending the event met with the representatives of the Agency for the Promotion of Private Investments (APIP) and with the government officials in charge of the focus sectors.

On 19 May it will be the turn of the Democratic Republic of Congo with its numerous delegation of entrepreneurs members of the FEC (Federation des Entreprises Congolaises), representatives of the government and of the National Agency for Investment Promotion (ANAPI).

The event will close with a session of one-to-one meetings with the members of the delegation of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
