Professionals in the area of technological innovation, ingenious minds and young talents are the guest stars of “Meet the New Italians of New York”, a series of meetings hosted at the Italian Consulate General in New York (690 Park Avenue). “Meet the New Italians of New York” is a project promoted and sponsored by the Italian Consulate General as part of the strategies outlined by the Italian Embassy in Washington aimed at attracting a new generation of Italians, facilitating their participation in Brand Italy promotion activities and networking the generation of Italians who are already well integrated in the life of New York. Thanks to this cycle of meetings, Italy presents itself to younger generations of Italians as a point of reference in the integration process and a place in which to meet and exchange opinions. The next meeting – the 7th on programme – will take place on 28 June. The Consulate’s website informs: “The guest stars of this edition are technology and innovation professionals who will be given the opportunity to tell their experiences in New York and talk of the difficulties that they had to overcome when they first arrived and of the challenges that the city posed, and of how they succeeded to integrate into one of the world’s most advanced high-tech hubs. The June 28 meeting follows the Job Fair of 14 May, an initiative that was a great hit with the public and with the more than 30 companies present. The previous meetings of “Meet the New Italians of New York” focused on the profession of journalists, physicians, lawyers and financial dealers.”
