Italy-Brazil Parliamentary Friendship group to meet on 5 July in Brasilia

The Italy-Brazil Parliamentary Friendship group will meet on 5 July at Brazil’s Chamber of Deputies in Brasilia. The meeting will open with remarks by Waldir Maranhao, the Acting President of the Chamber of Deputies, by the President of the Foreign Affairs Commission, Pedro Vilela, by the President of the Parliamentary Friendship group, Carlos Zarattini and, on behalf of Italy, by the Vice President of the Chamber of Deputies, Marina Sereni, and by the newly installed Italian Ambassador to Brazil, Antonio Bernardini.

Discussions will focus on strengthening bilateral relations, especially in the sector of infrastructure, tourism, SMEs and cooperatives, defence and the aerospace industry. Special attention will be placed on cultural issues, especially the reciprocal spread of their respective languages and cultures, as well as on environmental issues.
