The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation will allocate approximately 300,000 euros to co-finance 16 cultural exchange projects submitted by non-profit organizations, Italian social organizations (Onlus), universities, foundations, local authorities, also in partnership with foreign partners.
The selection of the winners was based on the main aims of the competing projects: the participation of youths in the social and political life; their professional integration and social inclusion; upgrading the planet’s cultural, artistic and environmental heritage; sensitizing youths to the values of tolerance, pluralism and social solidarity. The 16 winning projects will be implemented in different Countries in almost all the continents: the Countries on the southern shore of the Mediterranean, Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin American, North America and Asia.
“The initiative is a fully-fledged Italian diplomacy action used as a strategic instrument for the cultural promotion of Brand Italy for its relevance in terms of education and training,” said Vincenzo De Luca, Director General for Cultural and Economic Promotion and Innovation of the Foreign Ministry. He went on: “Many of the winning projects are in line with the priority goals of the integrated promotion of Brand Italy that my Directorate General is developing: from high cuisine with <
