Montreal to host Italian fashion exhibition “Eleganza”

From Valentino to Armani and Fendi to Prada, Italian fashion takes centre stage in Montreal where the McCord Museum presents “Eleganza: Italian Fashion, From 1945 to Today” an exhibition which runs until 25 September. “Eleganza” displays the work of Italian stylists that changed the fashion landscape, especially in the post-World War II period. It was organised by the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and was presented by Holt Renfrew, with the support of the Italian Cultural Institute (IIC) in Montreal.
Side by side with precious creations and garments by some of the world’s most acclaimed stylists – such as Valentino, Armani, Fendi, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, and Emilio Pucci – Canadian visitors will be able to discover new talent and admire a vast collection of accessories, photographs, magazines, drawings and films that illustrate the appeal of Italian fashion from 1945 to today.
