Italy is the guest of honour of the 20th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT), which will open in Xiamen tomorrow. Fifteen top Italian companies will take part in the fair, along with an institutional delegation led by Italy’s Undersecretary of State for Economic Development, Ivan Scalfarotto. The president of the Italian Trade Agency, Michele Scannavini, and the Italian Ambassador to China, Ettore Sequi, will inaugurate the Italian pavilion, which will be visited by Chinese Vice-Premier Wang Yang.
From Sept. 8 to 11, in the space set up by ICE in partnership with Intrado Srl, Italy will showcase the best of its production and technology in China through 15 companies in the sectors of aeronautics, agro-food, tourism, advanced mechanics, the healthcare and automotive industries and industrial design.
In order to highlight Italy’s status as guest of honour, ICE, the Italian Embassy in China, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China, and CEFC China Energy Company Ltd have organised an event entitled “Forum Italy-China Investment & Trade Forum Round Table and Matchmaking on Italian Excellences”. The Forum will be divided in five sectorial panels and will feature speakers from some of the participating Italian companies: China-Italy Green Exchange, Sustainable Urbanization, Healthcare, Italian Sustainable Manufacturing, and Aerospace-Innovations Technologies. Ambassador Sequi, Undersecretary Scalfarotto, and President Scannavini will make the opening remarks. The Forum will also include workshops and meetings organised by the CIFIT as opportunities to make business deals.
