Italian Economic Diplomacy – Argentina: National Production Plan presented at Investment Forum

The ‘Plan Nacional de Produccion’ (National Production Plan) presented by the Minister of Production, Francesco Cabrera, focuses on the following areas: investing in infrastructure, tax reforms, streamlining and removing barriers to investment, defending competition and transparency, reducing the cost of funds, bolstering the labour market and integrating innovation and technology in the production system. The Plan was presented at the 1^st edition of the Argentina Business & Investment Forum, organised by the Argentina Investment & Trade Promotion Agency. The event, which was aimed at upgrading the Country’s profile at international level, was attended by 1906 participants representing 1688 companies from 68 countries. In representation of Italy, there were 57 participants representing 31 companies. The Minister of Energy, Juan Jose’ Aranguren, recalled that, as established by the law, the Government has committed to invest in renewable energy sources in order to diversify energy supplies and to reduce emissions by 15% over the next 4 years.
