Vinicio Capossela, Italian artist, singer and entertainer, will stage his “Qu’Art de Siecle” show to the Teatro della Casa d’Italia in Istanbul on October 28. The event, promoted by the Italian Cultural Institute (IIC) in Istanbul, will celebrate his 25 year-long career dedicated to music. It began in 1990 with his debut album “All’una e trentacinque circa” (“At around 1:35”), which paved the way to a successful career that has turned him into one of the most popular and versatile Italian artists.
No other Italian musician has a European vision (and not only) like Capossela, who has never feared treading new ground, performing in other countries and interacting with different cultures. For many years he has conducted deep-reaching musicological research, through which he ‘contaminated’ his albums and established three years ago “The Sponz Festival” in Alta Irpinia, in the Campania region which, from the very beginning, has played on the idea of borders and the contamination between traditions and cultures. In Istanbul, Capossela will perform with his band made up of fellow-artists Enrico Lazzarini, Andrea Repetto, Manuel Zigante, Edoardo De Angelis, Vittorio Marchese, Giovannangelo De Gennaro and Alberto De Grandis.
