The event “Incantevole Italia. La musica di Nino Rota con immagini del paese delle mille bellezze” (“Enchanting Italy. Nino Rota’s music with images of the Country of the thousand beauties”) will be held in Buenos Aires on 30 November. It is a journey through the world of Italian cinema and the beauties of Italy’s plastic arts, architecture and landscapes to the accompaniment of the notes written by Nino Rota, the great composer of film soundtracks, including those for the following of Fellini’s films: Le notti di Cabiria (“Nights of Cabiria”), La dolce vita, Otto e mezzo, Giulietta degli spiriti (“Juliet of the Spirits”) and Amarcord, in addition to Le notti bianche (“White Nights”), Il Gattopardo (“The Leopard”) and The Godfather.
Rota’s music will be performed by the Orchestra Sinfonica Astro Lirica, composed by musicians with a great artistic career from the most prestigious orchestras of Buenos Aires (the National Symphonic Orchestra, the Teatro Colón Permanent Orchestra and the Philharmonic Orchestra of Buenos Aires).
