The publication “Evaluation of cooperation projects 2012-2015” provides a summary of independent technical evaluations of the initiatives financed by Italian cooperation from 2012 to date, in different formats and in different geographical areas. The publication was commissioned by the 9th Office of the Directorate General for Development Cooperation (DGCS) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
The publication highlights the efforts made by the DGCS to use this evaluation, on the one hand, as a means of assuring uniform procedures and of optimising resources with a view to achieving the objectives of efficiency, effectiveness and sustainability of the programmes implemented and, on the other hand, as a tool to assure the transparency of cooperation activities to stakeholders in this sector and, more generally, to the Italian public opinion.
