The Italian Cultural Institute in Tunis stages “Harlequin’s Hunger”

The acting course offered by Carmelo Rifici and Alessio Romano of the Piccolo Teatro di Milano – Teatro d’Europa Foundation to the students of the Ecole de l’Acteur starts on 3 January. The initiative is part of an artistic partnership with the National Theatre of Tunisia. 

Furthermore, the Italian Cultural Institute in Tunis will host the show by La Bottega Teatrale theatre company entitled “La fame di Arlecchino” (“Harlequin’s Hunger”) within the framework of the International Children’s Theatre Festival of Neapolis, from 8 to 10 January. The show, written and directed by Giuseppe Cardascio in which he co-stars with Salvatore Varvaro, features all the characters of the Italian Commedia dell’Arte that are presented in an amusing manner. The play focuses on Harlequin, who is forever hungry and needs to come to terms with Pantalone, Pulcinella, Colombina, Brighella and Balanzone.
