Toronto showcases “workwear” through the prism of joy and elegance

On January 27 the Italian Cultural Institute (IIC) in Toronto hosted “Workwear”, an exhibition designed and curated by Milan-based architect, designer and artist Alessandro Guerriero. The exhibition was first displayed at Milan’s Triennale with a view to promoting job opportunities for young people with disabilities, who were challenged to go from sketches to pattern development. ‘Workwear’ will feature the works of 40 Italian and international artists, designers and architects, including Issey Miyake, Erwin Wurm, Vivienne Westwood, Elio Fiorucci, and Coop Himmelb(l)au. The exhibition will run through April 23.
