The three-day training for Defense Attachés to be stationed in Italian diplomatic posts around the world, including in very delicate and high-risk contexts, came to an end today.
The course represents another area of fruitful cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Ministry of Defense. It has allowed our military to gain an in-depth knowledge of specific dossiers regarding the countries of destination and to meet diplomatic officers with established experience in the field.
The role of the Crisis Unit in handling emergencies abroad, new threats associated with terrorism and transnational crime, and the role Italy plays within NATO were some of the themes discussed during the course.
