Japan – Music, Vito Clemente pays tribute to Niccolò Van Westerhout

Vito Clemente will take centre stage in Tokyo with a tribute to the great Apulian composer Niccolò Van Westerhout. The event will take place on Monday, 27 February, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Auditorium Umberto Agnelli of the Italian Cultural Institute (IIC) in Tokyo. The concert is organised by the Organising Committee of the Japan Apulia Festival and by the IIC, under the patronage of the Italian Embassy in Tokyo, the Region of Apulia, the Metropolitan City of Bari and the Municipality of Bitonto. The concert will feature Maestro Clemente at the piano, accompanied by a choir of Japanese singers. The event is dedicated to the memory of Nicolò van Westerhout (Mola di Bari, 17 December 1857 – Naples, 21 August 1898), an eminent member of the Neapolitan school of opera and the author of numerous arias known for their lofty lyricism.
