A high level seminar on the sixtieth anniversary of the Treaties of Rome was held at the Italian Ambassador’s residence in The Hague on 24 March. The event was attended by the President of the First Chamber of the States-General of the Netherlands, Ankie Broekers-Knol, Senator Roberto Cocianich, Central Director for Migration Policies and Visas of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and numerous members of the diplomatic community. In addition to stimulating a constructive discussion on the benefits the EU has brought in recent years, the seminar highlighted the role of Italy as a founding country, constantly committed to promoting the European integration process.
