Argentina – Italian contemporary cinema in Argentina’s libraries

A series of contemporary Italian films will soon be shown in Argentina with the ‘Cine para lectores’ initiative, which seeks to organise screening in the libraries of Buenos Aires. The project has been organised in collaboration with the Direccion General del Libro, Bibliotecas y Promocion de la Lectura of the Ministry of Culture of the Municipality of Buenos Aires (GCBA). Every film will be introduced by a presentation and will be followed by a discussion with the audience.

In March the Casa de la Lectura will host the film by Alice Rohrwacher, ‘Corpo Celeste’ (Heavenly Body), the first in the series. It will be followed by Francesco Bruni’s ‘Scialla’, Francesca Comencini’s ‘Un giorno speciale’ (A Special Day) on March 17 and Leonardo Di Costanzo’s ‘L’intervallo’ (The Interval).
