Russia – Italian Footwear and leather goods at the Obuv Mir Kozhi Exhibition

“Export figures are encouraging and confirm the opportunities offered to Made-in-Italy products by the Russian market, also in the footwear and leather goods sector,” said the Italian Ambassador in Moscow, Cesare Maria Ragaglini, after attending the 47th edition of the Obuv Mir Kozhi 2017 Exhibition, one of Russia’s leading events for medium-to-high end footwear and leather products that closed last 24 March.

Every year, each one of the Exhibition’s Spring and Autumn editions in March and October respectively, records a large Italian presence. In this Spring edition, the Italian enterprises present were 129 (65% of the total), which occupied a surface of 3,250 sq. m. corresponding to 72% of the whole exhibition ground’s area. Assocalzaturifici, with the support of ICE-Agency for the Internationalisation of Italian Companies and their promotion abroad, organised an Italian Pavilion to host meetings between Russian buyers and Italian exhibitors.
