“I am happy that the TAP project is making quick progress towards its implementation, thus enabling us to count on an infrastructure of primary importance for Italy within the established timeframe. The project will economically benefit our Country and enhance the security and diversification of energy sources, which are two objectives to which the Foreign Ministry is strongly committed and that are also the focus of international attention. Yesterday I also discussed this with Minister Lavrov, who confirmed that Moscow attributes great importance to the construction of a southern gas corridor.”
